Henri Capet

From Cybernaut Network

Henri Capet is the Dagger (Left Hand) of Oleg Serolov, the ruling noble of the Serolov Conglomerate, one of the Seven Families of Neo-Europa. Known for his loud, brutal, and direct approach to enforcement, Capet is infamous across the city for his unorthodox methods, fierce loyalty, and unapologetic physicality. While most Daggers operate in the shadows, Capet functions like a wrecking ball—utterly visible, undeniably effective, and completely unconcerned with subtlety.

Biography

Henri Capet's early history is deliberately obscured, though rumors suggest he was once a construction foreman during the post-Veil War rebuilding era. Recruited by Oleg Serolov after an incident involving the “accidental” collapse of a Spacer cult’s hideout during an overpass pour, Capet quickly rose through Serolov’s internal security ranks by demonstrating ruthless efficiency and a fanatical respect for structure—both physical and political.

He officially became the Conglomerate’s Dagger in 2081 after purging a faction of internal saboteurs with nothing but a rebar rod, a hydraulic saw, and a fully memorized zoning map.

Personality and Methods

Capet is the antithesis of quiet intelligence. Loud, blunt, and sardonic, he relies on intimidation, physical dominance, and infrastructure-embedded brutality to achieve his goals. He often jokes about violence but is rarely careless—his operations are deliberately calculated to send messages as much as eliminate threats.

Despite his coarse demeanor, Capet is a tactical thinker. He is known for turning job sites into trap-laden kill zones, using construction codes and inspection schedules to orchestrate high-lethality interventions.

He famously refers to himself as “Serolov’s volume knob”—a reminder that sometimes the city needs to hear the consequences of disobedience.

Relationship with Oleg Serolov

Capet and Oleg Serolov share a deep, mutual understanding rooted in doctrine rather than friendship. Oleg provides the plan, Capet provides the noise. While Serolov governs with silence and brutalist philosophy, Capet enforces that silence through impact.

Their relationship is built on trust, shared conviction, and a total intolerance for inefficiency. Oleg has been quoted (in a rare private log) as saying: > “Henri reminds the world that silence is a choice. And that noise has teeth.”

Notable Operations

  • Operation Faultline Vein – Teamed up with Pierre Papillon to eliminate the Faultline Choir, a Spacer-art group sabotaging freight pathways with musical infrastructure hacks.
  • The Overpass Baptism – Collapsed an illegal chapel node by “coincidence” during a scheduled slab pour.
  • Dream Weaver Neutralization – Personally executed Ephraim Ko, a rogue architect leaking Serolov logistics to Veil-based dream sculptors.

Relationships with Other Daggers

  • Pierre Papillon – Dagger/Banner of Sleus Dynatek. Though polar opposites in personality, the two have collaborated with surprising effectiveness. Capet refers to Pierre as "the only knife sharper than his own frown."
  • Chiyo Matsumoto – Dagger of Swert Systems. Capet respects her lethality but considers her “too elegant to get mud on her blade.”
  • John Weinvlit – Dagger of Codenberg Corp. Their dynamic is built on mutual understanding: both serve family above ideology, and both have pledged to watch over—and, if necessary, end—Roland Weinvlit should the myth go rogue.

Quotes

  • “Some of us whisper in the dark. I swing rebar in daylight.”
  • “You want quiet? Build it. You want obedience? Break something first.”
  • “Concrete doesn’t lie. But it remembers who you bury beneath it.”

Equipment and Style

  • Wears a reinforced construction coat made of welded smart-fiber tarp.
  • Prefers analog weapons: rebar clubs, fusion-powered hammers, and serrated trench knives.
  • Cybernetics include exo-reinforced joints, pain tolerance dampeners, and a subdermal slab-mapping HUD.
